How a run works

Dimension mechanics in the backpack

Kalina relics Burn neighbours (an Armored relic survives it). Gallery relics Shock: the first shock Overcharges a relic and raises its quality, a second shock destroys it, and a Battery drains the charge. Aeolia relics Petrify neighbours into Aetherium crystals that other relics Absorb for quality; leftover Aetherium is destroyed when the run ends. The full effect vocabulary is on the backpack guide.

Dungeon questions

How do I unlock the Night Realm?

Beat The Herald at the end of Kalina’s Day Realm, then complete the quest it starts ("Old Times, New Technology"). The dungeon portal then offers both floors. If it does not appear, check your quest log and talk to every NPC in Tresna; the unlock is quest-driven, not level-driven.

Are the dungeons randomly generated?

Rooms are fixed layouts with different enemy sets, arranged into a branching map on Tomo’s Radar. Each run you choose one of two or three paths per node, so the route changes even though the rooms themselves are hand-built.

What happens when I die?

On Easy, Normal and Hard every relic in your backpack loses half of its quality. On Expert you lose the relics. On Hardcore (1.0) you lose your progress and start over. Failing a Greed Colosseum halves the quality of everything in the bag, including relics you brought in.

What is the Greed Colosseum?

An optional path offered by Sliver after every boss once you have cleared the fifth Endless Vault challenge. Each cycle is two enemy rooms and a miniboss for two chests; cycles get harder and the rewards richer (legendary relics with 100+ quality after about five cycles), but a death destroys everything earned there.
